Doris Sommer

To learn through creativity is the motto of this workshop. The principal activity is to revisit literary texts that present complex vocabulary and subtle use of grammar and imagery. The participants will rewrite these texts following the originals in a tangential way. They will create variations through theater games, they will paint images or frames of mind inspired by the stories, and they will translate them into music or dance.

Biography

Doris Sommer is Professor of Latin American Literature at Harvard University and Director of the Cultural Agents Initiative to promote social contributions through art and academic reflection.
