TrasNOcheo

Abstract:

The Trasnocheo series offers a late night performance venue for emerging and established artists to present short works or works in progress.  The cabaret style creates a more relaxed atmosphere that encourages participation and experimentation. The series has been curated by Susana Cook in years past. Susana Cook is NOT here to curate the TrasNOcheo, but the Hemisexuals recreate the NOble atmosphere nonetheless. Among them is the scandalous Sor Presa. When Fabi finds her, the encounter is... impactful!

Bio:

Fulana is a video and performance collective created in 2000 by four Latinas in New York City (Cristina Ibarra, Marlène Ramírez-Cancio, Lisandra Ramos-Grullón & Andrea Thome). Using parody and satire, their work delves into topics affecting the Latino communities in the U.S., and responds to the ways products and ideas are marketed and sold to us through the mass media. www.fulana.org
